60th Anniversary of the London Section

2004 was the 60th anniversary of the London Section. London is the 5th oldest Section in Canada, created as a local organization of the international Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) on October 31, 1944. Then on January 1, 1962, the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) Section was formed in London. These two Sections came together on January 1, 1963 when the AIEE and IRE merged to form the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
